Meet The Team
Terry has many years experience of working in the design industry in Manufacturing, distribution and retail. Consequently he has built up a unique knowledge of his chosen profession.
Terry spends time moving between the two stores and is able to assist clients with the help they need in choosing wallpapers and paints whilst advising on bespoke colour coordination for the individual customer’s interior projects.
Terry is passionate about the survival of good and efficient independent retailers. With the continued growth of the internet and larger stores, smaller companies like Paint and Paper Emporium have an important role to play in giving discerning clients a very personal and sought after individual service.
Roz has been working in the Soft Furnishings industry since 1990, setting up her store ‘Fabric Workshop’ in St. Ives Cambridgeshire. Here, she quickly achieved a reputation amongst her many clients for her incisive and broad knowledge of fabrics, curtains and blinds. With a bespoke curtain and blinds make-up service she achieved considerable success and a strong following in the area.
With the move to the store on the outskirts of the Cambridge City Centre, Paint & Paper Emporium has expanded with many new clients but still retains a significant client base from her days in St. Ives. With her husband Terry’s background in Paints and Wallpaper, coupled with Roz’s incredible knowledge of Soft Furnishings ‘Paint & Paper Emporium’ has a wonderful story to tell, supported by a compelling and professional approach to business.
Although Roz works in the Cambridge branch, she is available by appointment for a soft furnishings consultation at the Upminster branch.
Having worked at Paint and Paper Emporium since Mummy and Daddy bought me from the breeders at a very young age, I still enjoy going to the shops and meeting the customers who make a big fuss of me.
I have learnt a great deal over the years about the products that we sell and I believe if I could be bothered I could work both the till and the paint machine, but I would much rather lay in my basket and have the customers tickle my tummy.
Mummy and daddy don‘t think I’m very bright, but I an not going to let on. What a hard life!
